Kanwar Dhillon: It Had to Feel Natural, Not Forced

Kanwar Dhillon recently talked about taking on a bold new look for a special Mahasangam episode of Udne Ki Aasha, produced by Rahul Kumar Tewary and Rolling Tales Production. In his lead role as Sachin, Kanwar briefly became Narasimha for an important scene in the crossover.

He explained the thinking behind these scenes, saying, “Moments like these have always worked in daily soaps, but only when they come in at the right time. They shouldn’t feel forced. In our case, it was a part of the story and fit in quite naturally with the Mahasangam. I think that’s why people have connected with it. I’m really happy seeing the response.”

Although the scene was visually striking, Kanwar said it didn’t need a lot of emotional preparation from him. “It wasn’t very heavy or layered for me as an actor where I had to really dive deep into the performance,” he said.

What really stood out, though, was how the scene looked and was presented. “During the Jhakiwala sequence, where Sachin is dressed as Narasimha and makes his entry, the entire look played a big role. The costume, the jewellery, and especially the headgear, all added to the impact. It automatically lifts the scene and the character,” he added.

In the story, Sachin puts on the disguise as part of a bigger plan, making it one of the standout moments in the Mahasangam episode. Since viewers have responded so well, the scene shows that when these elements are added naturally, they still work well on television.
