Kanwar Dhillon: Sachin Has Become Calmer, Smarter and More Responsible After the Leap

Rahul Kumar Tewary and Rolling Tales Production’s Udne Ki Aasha is stepping into a brand-new chapter with a leap that promises fresh stories and new dynamics. While Sachin and Saili continue to remain at the heart of the show, actor Kanwar Dhillon says audiences will now meet a more mature, balanced and responsible Sachin, whose life has changed both personally and professionally.

Talking about the leap, Kanwar says, “Sachin’s life has completely evolved. He’s now running a travel and tourism business with six to seven Innova cars under him. Professionally, he’s doing well, and personally, he and Saili have become parents to a beautiful daughter. As the story progresses, viewers will slowly get to know more about her journey as well. A lot has changed in their lives, but what hasn’t changed is the emotional bond they share.”

The actor adds that the couple has also started a new life away from the Deshmukh household. “Sachin and Saili are no longer living in the Deshmukh house. They’ve built a life together in Ganpatipule, and that’s where this new chapter begins. It’s a completely new environment with fresh experiences and challenges. What I like is that the transition feels very natural. Nothing has been forced just for the sake of drama. The story moves forward in a very believable way.”

According to Kanwar, fatherhood has brought a visible change in Sachin’s personality. “People who have followed Sachin from the beginning will definitely notice that he’s much calmer now. Earlier, he reacted impulsively to almost every situation, but today he thinks before responding. He’s become more diplomatic, emotionally balanced and responsible. Becoming a father has naturally changed the way he looks at life and handles situations.”

The leap has also given Kanwar an opportunity to refresh Sachin’s appearance after playing the character for over two and a half years. “After more than 850 episodes, I felt both the audience and I deserved something new. I got a haircut and changed my hairstyle because it felt like the right time to give Sachin a fresh look. I’m really looking forward to seeing how viewers react to this new version of him.”

Sharing his first reaction to the leap, Kanwar says he immediately felt it was the right move for the show. “When I first heard about it, I genuinely thought it was an interesting direction. Audiences invest in these characters every single day, so they naturally want to see their lives move forward instead of remaining in the same phase forever. Change keeps the story exciting.”

He also believes the timing couldn’t have been better. “We’ve been shooting one-hour episodes and, on average, almost two episodes a day, so the story has moved at a very fast pace. Since Udne Ki Aasha is adapted from a South Indian show, we’ve almost gone beyond the original storyline. The leap gave us the perfect opportunity to create a fresh world for Sachin, Saili and the entire family.”

Confident about the show’s new phase, Kanwar concludes, “This is simply the next chapter in Sachin and Saili’s journey. There are new relationships, new responsibilities and a completely different world around them, but the heart of the story remains unchanged. I believe audiences will connect with this phase just as much as they have with everything that has come before.”
