The notable journey of India’s Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, will soon be witnessed in the television serial Sardar: The Game Changer. Presented by KC Bokadia and produced by Rajesh Bokadia under the banner of BMB Entertainments , the serial is set to premiere on DD National every Sunday at 11.30am and 10pm starting March 10.
In Sardar: The Game Changer, Rajit Kapur takes on the titular role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, with direction by Dayal Nihalani.
Based on Geeta Manek’s book Sardar: The Game Changer, the serial delves into the significant contribution of Sardar Patel in integrating over 562 princely states into India.
The grand launch of the serial took place at the Satya Dream Studios in Mumbai, where shooting is currently underway. The cast includes Rajeshwari Sachdev as Manibeni Patel, Rakesh Chaturvedi Om as VP Menon, Mahatma Gandhi as Deepak Antani, Sanjay as Nehru, Rajesh Khera as Jinnah, and Rick Maclean as Mountbatten. Akashdeep Pandey handles cinematography, with Pradeep as the art director and Harpreet as the music composer.
Presenter KC Bokadia paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, emphasizing his role in India’s unity and stressing that Patel’s contribution to Indian history will never be forgotten. He described the serial as more akin to a film or web series, marking the production house’s debut in television serials, and praised the stellar performances of all the actors.
Rajit Kapur highlighted the challenges of bringing such an extraordinary serial to the screen and praised producer Rajesh Bokadia for the initiative. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to portray Sardar Patel, acknowledging the immense responsibility that comes with the role.
Geeta Manek expressed her emotional connection to the project, having worked on research for the past seven to eight years. She credited her co-writers, Ashu Patel and Viral Raj, for their collaboration and expressed surprise at the book’s journey to the screen.
Presenter KC Bokadia extended gratitude to all the actors and the DD National team for their contributions to the project.
