After working in web series like 36 Days and Gyaarah Gyaarah, actor Khushi Bhardwaj is now seen in Anubhav Sinha’s IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, which released on August 29. The Kandahar Hijack delves into the hijacking of the Indian Airlines flight IC 814 in December 1999. The series has already created a lot of positive buzz. The cast includes celebrated names like Naseeruddin Shah, Kumud Mishra, Dia Mirza Rekhi, Vijay Varma, Patralekhaa, Arvind Swamy, and Pankaj Kapur.
Sharing more about her role, the young actor says, “Getting an opportunity in a series like IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack is a huge achievement for me. Working under a director like Anubhav Sinha has been a great experience. I can’t give details of the character, but I can say that I played one of the passengers inside the aircraft. I wish my part had been a little longer so I could have spent more time with the cast and crew. As an actress, I look up to Anubhav Sinha, who is a genius. Every film of his is a great reference for an actor. My favorite films of his include Thappad, Mulk, and Article 15. The most fascinating part of his direction is his research. I am sure that with IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, he will reach new heights. The series also features some of the greatest names in the industry, and I am honored to be associated with a series like this.
