On the birth anniversary of India’s pioneering woman educator and torchbearer of education, Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule, the team of Krantijyoti Vidyalaya – Marathi Madhyam paid homage by visiting the historic Mahatma Phule Wada in Pune. This is the very place where Savitribai Phule was shaped and where she laid the foundation for social reform.
Since the soul of the film lies in highlighting the educational revolution brought about by Savitribai Phule and her relentless struggle to preserve Marathi-medium schools, this tribute on her birth anniversary held special significance. At present, Krantijyoti Vidyalaya – Marathi Madhyam is receiving an overwhelming response across Maharashtra, with audiences showering the film with praise. Through its commentary on the Marathi language, Marathi-medium schools, and the core values of education, the film powerfully reiterates Savitribai Phule’s progressive ideals in a contemporary context.
Krantijyoti Vidyalaya – Marathi Madhyam has already been released and features a stellar ensemble cast including Sachin Khedekar, Amey Wagh, Siddharth Chandekar, Kshitee Jog, Kadambari Kadam, Harish Dudhade, Nirmitee Sawant, Pushkaraj Chirputkar, and Prajakta Koli. Produced by Chalchitra Mandali, the film is written and directed by Hemant Dhome, with Kshitee Jog as the producer. The co-producers are Viraj Gavas, Urfi Kazmi (Crazy Few Films), and Ajinkya Dhamal.
