Rajan Shahi and Deepa Shahi’s Anupamaa takes the cooking competition to another level as Leela and Vasundhara are paired for a challenging task that tests not just their culinary skills but also their patience and coordination.
The episode begins with Anupama checking on Leela, who jokingly reveals that she has come to the competition hoping to become an actor. Anupama reminds her that she already has the qualities of one, while Digvijay assures Leela that the entire team will support her. Meanwhile, Vasundhara appears nervous and struggles to even enjoy her drink as she thinks about the upcoming challenge.
The host then announces another major twist and introduces a rope as the centrepiece of the next task. Leela and Vasundhara immediately become anxious, wondering what they will be asked to do with it. The judges explain that the rope represents relationships, coordination and teamwork. The twist is soon revealed—Leela and Vasundhara will have one hand tied to each other while completing the cooking challenge.
The announcement leaves both teams worried. Prem assures Vasundhara that he will not allow anything to happen to her, while Rahi and Khyati encourage her to remain calm. Rahi reminds Vasundhara that she has always been a pillar of strength for the family and asks her not to let the pressure affect her performance. Determined to support Prem, Vasundhara promises that she will give her best.
Leela, meanwhile, is equally confident. She jokingly tells Anupama that once the rope is tied, she will make Vasundhara dance according to her instructions. Anupama reminds her that the arrangement will work both ways and Vasundhara could do the same to her.
Before the challenge begins, Hasmuk, Pakhi and Paritosh visit Leela and wish her luck. Hasmuk gives her a flower, while Pakhi and Paritosh ask her to make sure Anupama’s team wins. Leela, however, quickly sends them away and starts planning her strategy. She asks Banku and Digvijay to keep an eye on her during the task and tells Kinjal and Prerna not to interfere once the challenge begins. Anupama tries to calm her down, but Leela insists that she knows what she is doing.
The team leaders then tie the contestants together. Anupama asks Vasundhara which hand she prefers to have tied, and Vasundhara chooses her right hand despite knowing it could make cooking more difficult. Prem ties Leela’s left hand to Vasundhara’s right.
As soon as the timer begins, the challenge turns chaotic. Leela and Vasundhara struggle to coordinate their movements and eventually fall during the task. Prem immediately blames Leela for putting Vasundhara at risk, while Shruti and Mahi support his argument. Anupama points out that Leela also fell and that the accident cannot simply be blamed on one person. The host takes responsibility for the unexpected situation.
The judges then reveal another twist. Contestants will get opportunities to take ingredients from the opposing team’s counters at specific moments. This adds another layer of difficulty as Leela and Vasundhara continue trying to work together while also competing against each other.
With tempers rising and both contestants struggling to maintain their coordination, the challenge ends on a tense note.
Precap: The teams are asked to exchange ingredients. Prerna takes the salt from Vasundhara’s counter, while Mahi picks up besan from Leela’s ingredients. Vasundhara worries that she cannot complete her dish without salt. Anupama decides to return the ingredient, but Prerna refuses to accept her help and insists that their team will manage without any favour. Anupama is left stunned by the development.
