Madhura Velankar Satam, a versatile actor known for her work in theatre, films, and various acting workshops and camps over the past two decades, has added another feather to her cap. Recognized with four state awards and numerous other accolades for her acting in over 30 films, Madhura has now ventured into writing. Her debut book, Madhurav, has quickly gained popularity.
For her book Madhurav, published by Rasik Antarbharati, Madhura Velankar Satam was recently awarded this year’s Manorama Sahitya Seva Award in Solapur. The award ceremony took place at Solapur University, where the award was presented by the university’s Vice-Chancellor. The state-level award includes a trophy, a certificate of appreciation, and a cash prize of INR 21,000.
Having previously received numerous awards for her acting, Madhura stated that this award for writing holds special significance and brings new energy. She also mentioned that she is currently working on her new novel Maya.
