Manjari Mishra, who has acted in the TV show Models and also has been a part of the Gujarati film Fuleku and more recently Rocket Gang, says that her father has played a significant role in who she has become today. She adds that he has always been there, supporting her, and providing her with guidance.
“My father played a significant role in shaping my development and providing guidance. Our bond is rooted in their dedication to teaching and refining my capabilities, much like a parent nurturing a child’s growth,” she says.
She adds, “From my parents, I’ve learned the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, and humility. They’ve instilled in me the value of empathy and the necessity of ethical considerations in all interactions.”
She says that a father’s love can be felt more than seen. “While fathers may often be less expressive, their love and support are equally profound. They often show their care through actions rather than words, which can be just as meaningful,” she says.
Our films and television are also dominated by mother’s emotions compared to fathers, she says, adding, “The media often portrays mothers as the emotional centre of the family, but there are also notable examples of strong father figures in films. One such example is ‘Finding Nemo,’ where Marlin’s journey to find his son showcases the depth of a father’s love and determination.”
Do you have any plans to celebrate Father’s day if yes how? “Celebrating Father’s Day with a thoughtful gesture like spending quality time together, preparing his favourite meal, or simply expressing gratitude for his presence and guidance.”
