Manoj Joshi, who has been acting in the Indian television and film industry for over three decades, is playing a lead role for the first time in the upcoming film The UP Files. Directed by Neeraj Sahai and produced by Kuldeep Umraosingh Ostwal, The UP Files is set to release in theaters on July 26, 2024.
During a special screening of the film in Mumbai, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale and Manoj Joshi were present. The Union Minister watched the film and expressed his appreciation for it. He said, “I watched this film and it is very good. It depicts the reality of Uttar Pradesh. Manoj Joshi has performed so well. There was a significant increase in lawlessness in UP, but when Yogi Adityanath became the Chief Minister, he took great efforts to eradicate crime. Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar’s constitution is what every citizen must follow, and this film conveys that message. I congratulate the lead actor Manoj Joshi, the producer, the director, and the entire team and crew associated with The UP Files.”
Manoj Joshi shared, “In this film, there is a dialogue that goes, ‘BabaSaheb Ambedkar ke samvidhan ki kadar, na ek inch idhar na ek inch udhar.’ It’s a very powerful dialogue. The film showcases how UP’s CM Yogi Adityanath is continuously striving to improve the state, and his efforts are leading Uttar Pradesh towards a better future.”
Having worked in the entertainment industry since 1991, Manoj Joshi has essayed his first lead role in his career. Speaking enthusiastically, he said, “There is no greater joy for an actor than to get the opportunity to play a lead role. I can’t express in words how grateful I am to the producer and director for giving me this role because the entire film rests on my shoulders. I want people from every state to watch ‘The UP Files.’ The writer of this film is no longer with us, but he wrote an excellent screenplay and dialogues.”
