The typical image of a Marathi individual is often someone who prefers job security over taking risks to start a business. Many unemployed youths around us are seen chasing jobs instead of attempting to start small or large businesses. Thousands of applications are submitted for a limited number of job openings, reflecting a harsh reality in society. Furthermore, corruption in job recruitment and incidents of exam paper leaks have become significant obstacles for job seekers. The upcoming Marathi film Shriyut Non-Maharashtrian addresses these serious issues, and its intriguing trailer has already been released on social media.
Produced by Uttejanaa Studioz Pvt. Ltd., Shriyut Non-Maharashtrian features Janak Singh and Sameer Randhawe as two determined entrepreneurs searching for an investor to expand their café branches. Janak, who has a polite demeanor, has a hidden side as well—he is on the hunt for a criminal named AK in the dead of night. Janak is willing to go to any lengths to capture AK. But who is A.K.? Why is Janak searching for him? What is their connection? These questions will be answered in the film.
Speaking about the film, director Ajinkya Upasani said, “We have made a Marathi film for Marathi people. During Diwali, Christmas, and other occasions, Marathi people often watch Hindi or other language films. This year, we are bringing a Marathi film for Ganeshotsav, especially for our Marathi audience. I urge Marathi people to watch Marathi films during Marathi festivals.”
Shriyut Non-Maharashtrian is produced by Dr Parthasarathy and Prerna Upasani. The film stars Gaurav Upasani, Atharva Deshpande, Vaibhav Randhawe, Sayali Vaidya, and Sampada Gaikwad in lead roles. Ajinkya Upasani has skillfully handled the direction, cinematography, editing, and screenplay of the film. The story is written by Gaurav Upasani, who also penned the dialogues.
