One of the towering figures in the world of music is Sudhir Phadke, fondly remembered as the Swaragandharva Sudhir Phadke. With 69 glorious years since the inception of his legendary creation, Geet Ramayan, redefining the significance of this historic day, Redefine Productions organized a unique event as part of the promotion of the film Swaragandharva Sudhir Phadke in Pune. The event saw the presence of Shridhar Phadke, Anand Modak, the next generation of GD.m Madgulkar, some dignitaries from All India Radio Pune Center, along with the presenters of Swaragandharva Sudhir Phadke film, Saurabh Gadgil, writer-director-producer Yogesh Deshpande, actors Sunil Barve, Mrunmayee Deshpande, Sagar Talashikar, Milind Phatak, Adish Vaidya, Sukhada Khandkekar, Apurva Modak, Avinash Narkar, Dheeresh Joshi, Paritosh Pradhan. The event was a delightful interaction, marked by the unveiling of a majestic 20-foot poster of the film, adorned with the names of all those associated with it.
The highlight of the event was the showcasing of unforgettable moments from the Geet Ramayan journey and the popular songs from it which left the audience mesmerized.
During the event, Sudhir Phadke’s persona, his musical compositions, the incidents during the creation of songs, and the journey of words into melodies were vividly portrayed. As the series, which began on April 1, 1955, completes 70 years, this endeavor to unearth the treasure trove of profound, aromatic, and melodious memories comes at an opportune moment. The experiences shared by the artists while bringing the characters to life on screen and the moments they cherished during the filmmaking process were also shared with the audience.
