Mazher Sayed, who plays the role of Anil Kothari (Prem’s chacha) in the popular show Anupamaa produced by Deepa Shahi and Rajan Shahi, recently celebrated his birthday in the most heartwarming way on the sets of the show. Rajan Shahi and the DKP team made sure it was a day to remember with a lovely cake-cutting ceremony.
Speaking about the celebration, Mazher shared his joy and excitement. “It was beautiful. Every person’s birthday is celebrated here. But what truly surprised me was what happened in my makeup room. When I entered, the lights were switched off, and there was a candlelit cake waiting for me.” Mazher Sayed’s co-actors, Zalak, Adrija, Rahil, Arisht, Alka ji, the kids, and Shiwani, who plays his wife on screen, were all there. Even Rupali and Sheersha joined in. “My makeup room was beautifully decorated, and the kids wrote me a special card. It was so touching and completely unexpected.”
He continued, “The DKP team always makes birthdays special with their love and warmth. This was one of the sweetest birthdays I’ve had on set. Everyone was so nice, and it turned out to be a well-spent and happy workday birthday. Celebrating your birthday while working with such wonderful people is truly a blessing. I loved every moment of it and am so grateful to my co-actors, they are absolute sweethearts.”
When asked about the year gone by and what he’s most proud of, Mazher expressed his gratitude. “More than proud, I’m very thankful to God that my health is fine and my loved ones are healthy and well. For me, health is wealth, and I truly believe that.”
On the professional front, Mazher couldn’t be happier. “The year began with Anupamaa. When Rajan ji called me, it was a wonderful surprise. The year started on a beautiful note, and I’ve been enjoying this ride ever since. I hope this continues and gets even better with each passing year. Rajan ji and the DKP team really care for all the actors here. They shower us with so much love. I feel incredibly lucky to be back with DKP after Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and to be associated with such a wonderful team.”
It was indeed a special and memorable celebration for Mazher Sayed, one filled with love, surprises, and gratitude.
