In an exclusive conversation, Mohammed Nagaman Lateef, Talent Head leading the Hoonur division across Balaji Motion Pictures, Balaji Telefilms, and Balaji Digital, shared insights from his European getaway, speaking about the charm of Paris, spontaneous adventures, fashion inspiration, and how travel fuels his creativity.
Talking about his first impressions of Paris, Mohammed described the experience as surreal and unforgettable. “Oh, it’s been absolutely incredible! Honestly, this entire Euro trip has been an absolute dream. I started off landing in Paris, and from there, I’ve been on the move hitting Brussels in Belgium, exploring Luxembourg, and I’m also heading to Frankfurt, Germany, Amsterdam, and finally Switzerland. But speaking strictly of Paris, it truly is a dreamy, quiet, and beautifully picturesque place. The most unforgettable moment here has to be standing right in front of the Notre-Dame Cathedral. The sheer scale and the breathtaking gothic architecture up close completely blew me away.”
Reflecting on the city’s iconic reputation as the city of love and art, Mohammed shared what stood out most to him about Parisian culture. “It really lives up to its reputation as a dreamy, beautiful escape! What impressed me the most is how art isn’t just confined to museums, it’s literally woven into the quiet, elegant daily life here. There’s this effortless sophistication to the Parisian lifestyle. Everyone is just taking their time, sipping coffee, and soaking in the gorgeous surroundings. It makes you want to slow down and just appreciate the beauty around you.”
Among the many locations he explored, the Seine River emerged as one of his favorite spots in the city. “Aside from the iconic historical spots, I absolutely loved spending time near the Seine River. Walking along the banks, watching the city lights start to twinkle, and just taking in the waterfront views is magic. It perfectly captures that quiet, dreamy Paris vibe I love. It’s the ideal spot to just clear your head and realize you’re actually in France.”
When asked whether he prefers detailed itineraries or spontaneous adventures, Mohammed admitted that while planning is important, he enjoys embracing the unexpected moments of travel. “I’d say I’m a mix of both, but I lean heavily towards spontaneous adventures! You definitely need a loose plan when you’re crossing borders between six different countries France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. But my absolute favorite moments happen when you just let the unique vibe of each place take over. Like, I love the fun energy of Belgium where I stumbled upon that vintage carriage, but I also can’t wait to experience the ultimate party-place vibe in Amsterdam, or the sheer silence and peace waiting for me in Switzerland. That contrast is where the real magic of travel is.”

Fashion and lifestyle also left a strong impression on him during the journey. “The bold, effortless confidence in their fashion, for sure! I love playing with colors and unique styles like rocking my bright teal long-line hoodie right in the heart of Paris. But honestly, traveling through places like Luxembourg, which feels like the absolute richest and most luxurious country in the world, gives you a whole different appreciation for style and lifestyle. Bringing back a piece of that Parisian artistic flair combined with a touch of luxury is definitely the plan.”
Of course, no trip to France is complete without indulging in local cuisine, and Mohammed admitted that one classic French delicacy instantly won him over. “You can’t come to France and not indulge! I’ve been trying a bit of everything, but a fresh, warm, buttery croissant from a local bakery has my heart. It’s so simple, but the French just do it perfectly. Combine that with a hot cup of coffee by the pavement, and you’re living the authentic, dreamy Parisian life.”
Speaking about how important travel is for his creativity and mental refresh, Mohammed emphasized the transformative impact of exploring different cultures and environments. “It is absolutely essential for me. When you work in a fast-paced environment, your brain can get pretty cluttered. Traveling through completely different landscapes is the ultimate reset button. Moving from a fun atmosphere in Belgium to the ultra-luxurious streets of Luxembourg, into the dreaminess of Paris, and eventually to the silent, peaceful mountains of Switzerland completely rewires your creativity. Every single country feeds your soul differently, and you return home feeling completely reinvented!”
