There is great excitement surrounding the film Dharmaveer - 2, which is set to unfold the story of Saheb’s Hindutva. The music launch of this film was grandly conducted at Gadkari Rangayatan, Thane, by the famous veteran singer Suresh Wadkar. The event saw the presence of the film’s producers, directors, cast, music team, and other distinguished guests. Along with the music launch, meritorious students who passed the 10th standard exams were honored with the ‘Anand Maza’ award.
Produced by Sahil Motion Arts’ Mangesh Jeevan Desai and Zee Studios’ Umesh Kumar Bansal, Dharmaveer - 2 is written and directed by Pravin Tarde, with cinematography by Mahesh Limaye. The film’s teaser, released a few days ago, received an overwhelming response from the audience. The songs from the first film, Dharmaveer Mukkam Post Thane, were a huge hit, and now the anticipation for the songs and storyline of Dharmaveer - 2"m has increased significantly.
For the first time in the history of Marathi cinema, a music launch event was held with school children in attendance. On the occasion of Guru Purnima and Ashadhi Ekadashi, 45 child artists sang the Guru Purnima song from the film Dharmaveer, winning the hearts of those present.
Late Anand Dighe seamlessly blended politics and social work, gaining immense popularity. He was the pioneer of starting practice exams for school students. Therefore, at the film’s music launch event, along with the presentation of the Guru Purnima song, the song Chala Karu Tayari… was showcased. Additionally, meritorious students who excelled in their 10th standard exams were honored with the ‘Anand Maza’ award.
Renowned singer Suresh Wadkar said, “I have met Dighe Saheb closely. He appeared intimidating, but was pure at heart. I wish this film runs for 98 weeks, and I thank everyone for inviting me here.”
Producer Mangesh Desai explained the concept of the ‘Anand Maza’ award, saying, “By starting practice exams, Dharmaveer Anand Dighe Saheb made a significant contribution to the education sector. These practice exams helped reduce students’ fear of subjects like mathematics. Today, we see students scoring full marks in many subjects, and it is a pleasure to honor and appreciate them. From this year onwards, to honor Dighe Saheb’s memory, we will award such students with a certificate, a memento, and a check for those who scored full marks. I plan to continue this initiative.”

The film features a total of four songs. The lyrics, written by Mangesh Kangane, Snehal Tarde, Dr Prasad Biware, and Vishwajeet Joshi, have been set to melodious music by Avinash-Vishwajeet and Chinar-Mahesh. The songs have been rendered in Marathi and Hindi by renowned singers such as Hariharan, Javed Ali, Sukhwinder Singh, Vishal Dadlani, Adarsh Shinde, Manish Rajgire, and popular singer Bela Shende.
Starting today, the songs from Dharmaveer - 2 are available on various music platforms. The film Dharmaveer - 2 will be released worldwide in both Marathi and Hindi on August 9.
