&TV’s new show Bheema is receiving widespread acclaim for its compelling storyline and talented cast. Neeta Mohindra, who is portraying the formidable antagonist Kailasha Bua, has also been receiving a lot of praises from within the industry and fans. Talking exclusively about her character, Neeta Mohindra shares, “Kailasha Bua is extremely strict and has a commanding presence whose authority within the family is unquestionable. Her son, Kalika Singh, holds her in deep respect, reflecting her values and beliefs. She has a strong faith and is generous, especially to those she favors. Despite her respected and influential status, her commitment to social hierarchy makes her one of the strongest antagonist characters.”
As she continues filming for the show, Neeta Mohindra reflects on her experience of preparing for the role saying, “Preparing for the role of Kailasha Bua involved immersing myself in the mindset of a woman deeply entrenched in societal hierarchies. I dedicated significant time to research on the cultural and social dynamics of that period to fully understand Kailasha Bua’s beliefs and her resistance to change. Portraying an antagonist presents a unique challenge, as it requires embodying a character whose actions and values may conflict with modern ideals. Yet, this complexity is what makes the role so compelling. Talking about her co-stars, Neeta adds, “I am enjoying shooting on the set every day. The entire team, including the artists and the crew, is exceptionally supportive. Their dedication motivates me to excel in every scene. Working with such talented people has allowed me to delve deeply into my character, exploring Kailasha Bua’s motivations and the complexities that define her.”
