OTT Review: Manoj Bajpayee’s 100th Film, Bhaiyya Ji is a Solo Triumph

There is absolutely no genre Manoj Bajpayee cannot entertain you in. What’s commendable is, despite being in the industry for three decades and achieving it all, he still works so hard to push boundaries and explore new stories.

Bhaiyya Ji is a perfect showcase of Bajpayee’s unparalleled talent. He shoulders the film with an effortless blend of attitude and finesse. This high-octane revenge saga combines the visceral action of South Indian cinema with the nostalgic drama of 80s Bollywood. It may not cater to everyone’s tastes, but Bajpayee’s magnetic performance is reason enough to dive in.

Zoya Hussain delivers a performance that beautifully complements Bajpayee’s intensity. Her unexpected transformation in the latter half of the film adds a surprising twist that keeps you wanting more.

For me, it’s Bhagirathi Bai Kadam who truly steals the show. Her commanding presence and nuanced performance reflect her rich experience in theatre and film, adding strong support to the cast.

Bhaiyya Ji is, at its core, an entertainer. It’s the kind of film you watch to be thrilled and entertained, to experience the cathartic satisfaction of revenge, and then move on, gratified.

The film is produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Samiksha Oswal, Shael Oswal, Shabana Raza Bajpayee, and Vikram Khakhar. Starting July 26, viewers can witness Manoj Bajpayee’s Bhaiyya Ji on https://www.zee5.com/global.
