Gajendra Ahire’s Hindi film debut, The Signature on Zee5 Global makes us reflect on love, loss, and the fragility of life.
With a talented cast, the film has strong performances but leaves you wanting more screen time for each actor.
Neena Kulkarni, who plays Madhu, is unfortunately limited to a few scenes, most of which show her bedridden. Yet, an actor of Neena’s stature still manages to make a profound impact in her limited time on screen, leaving you rooting for her character’s recovery.
Anupam Kher, as Arvind, perfectly captures the emotions of a tired and frustrated man. His performance is so moving that you feel like giving him a comforting hug. Mahima Chaudhry, Annu Kapoor, and Ranvir Shorey also do well in their brief roles. Mahima, in particular, deserves applause for her bold choice to appear on screen with a balding look, breaking stereotypes.
Ahire’s filmography is filled with award-winning films, and The Signature is no exception. The film challenges you to reflect on life, question your choices, and confront the realities of death.
As his first Hindi film, The Signature is a meaningful and heartfelt success.
