The much-awaited Marathi film Devmanus, starring Mahesh Manjrekar, Renuka Shahane, and Subodh Bhave, has been creating buzz since its announcement. Now, the first song from the film, ‘Pandurang’, has been released, capturing the hearts of audiences. Produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under the Luv Films banner, this devotional songis a mesmerizing treat for music lovers.
Sung in the melodious voice of Sonu Nigam, composed by Rohan-Rohan, and penned by Prasad Madpuwar, Pandurang is a song dedicated to faith and devotion. The song features Mahesh Manjrekar’s journey during the Wari pilgrimage, offering a glimpse into his emotional and spiritual transformation.
Speaking about his experience, Sonu Nigam shared,“Pandurang is my first-ever Wari song, and I feel blessed to be a part of it. When Rohan-Rohan played the track for me in the studio, I was deeply moved by its spiritual essence. This song beautifully captures the devotional journey and the unwavering faith of Lord Vitthal’s devotees. Since it includes some traditional words unfamiliar to me, I asked them to explain their meaning so I could truly connect with its essence. I am certain that just as this song touched my soul, it will also resonate with the listeners.”
Music composer Rohan-Rohan added, “Sonu Nigam was our first and only choice for ‘Pandurang.’ We needed a voice that exuded serenity and devotion, and Sonu Sir’s vocals were a perfect match. The process of recording this song was incredible, and we are thrilled that audiences will get to experience this magical composition.”
