For Parineeta Borthakur, it was an emotional farewell when she bid adieu to Prateek Sharma’s Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya Shiv Shakti. She shares her emotional journey with the show and says,”I felt sad to leave everyone because the whole unit had become a family. I knew I would miss the people, the set and even the makeup room. And I do miss them. As an actor It was overwhelming to get so much love.” Sharing more about her challenges as Mandira in the show she says, “In an episode when I had to slap Dadi. Uff! That was the only shot where I stood still and the director kept saying continue, continue. I took a second, prayed to God, that whatever I’m doing is acting and I don’t promote that. And after the shot I touched Meenakshi Verma ji’s feet and said sorry. She is a professional artist. She was like, ‘arre acting hi to kar rahi ho’. I have enjoyed my entire tenure in the show but I have enjoyed the most with my co-star Jhuma Mitra who plays Padma in the show. We have become very good friends offscreen.“
But how does she balance playing such an intense role? Does she ever take her role back home? She says, “I can switch on and off as an actor. I never carry my roles back home.”
Parineeta also shares how she is keen on working again with the talented producer Prateek Sharma. She says, “They are the best. I messaged them saying that given a chance, I would love to work with them again, anytime.”
Parineeta is currently wanting to go for a small trip before she takes up anything new. She has been talking with a few projects but nothing has been finalised yet. She is looking for a strong role in a matured love story; preferably that of a woman of substance. Lastly she adds, “Thank you all for the hatred towards Mandira and the love towards Parineeta. I enjoyed playing Mandira and was grateful for the immense love and support I received.”
