Prapti Shukla, who plays the role of Tara Sharma in Mrinal Abhigyan Jha Productions’ Janani - AI Ki Kahani, says that she loves to shoot continuously. In fact, she says that she is not one to take constant holidays from work as well.
“Honestly, I am a workaholic. I love shooting and dislike constant holidays. As for my personal life, I have a very supportive family, which is truly a blessing. We plan dinners or short outings accordingly after pack-up or whenever I get time off,” she says.
She adds, “I love night shoots. Night shoots give me a different energy. Of course, we do get morning sleep after night shoots as there is always a way to balance it out. I see it as an opportunity and enjoy every moment of it.”
A daily soap means a daily grind, and with summer, it is physically exhausting in the summers, she says, adding, “But while shooting, I get so into the scene that I forget about the climate outside, and it doesn’t affect me much. Staying hydrated is a must, and I keep having fruits to stay refreshed.”
Daily soaps also mean constant work and constant income, says the actor, adding, “Personally, as I mentioned earlier, there is a unique enjoyment in daily soaps. Yes, there are a lot of hardships, but I love shooting every day and find it very fulfilling.”
Some actors dislike being labelled as TV actors, but she is not one of them. “According to me, there is no shame or dislike in being labelled as a TV actor. I am growing thanks to God’s blessings, my hard work, and my family’s constant support. I believe you should always be proud and grateful for that,” she says.
She adds, “The best part is watching my family’s reaction when they see me on TV every day and their happy faces. Television gives you different ways to explore your thoughts towards your character. Getting scripts on the spot provides another level of confidence and satisfaction when you perform perfectly.”
