Prasads Multiplex, one of India’s most iconic cinema exhibition venues, has introduced a new premium theatrical experience with the launch of PCX HDR by Barco, a technologically upgraded auditorium designed to deliver enhanced brightness, contrast, and immersive sound for moviegoers.
Located at Prasads Multiplex in Hyderabad, the renovated auditorium features what is one of India’s largest HDR cinema screens. The technology enabling this unique experience is the proprietary Barco 4K Laser HDR projector powered by Lightsteering technology, capable of delivering brightness levels of up to 300 nits, significantly enhancing image clarity, colour depth, and contrast as never seen before.
Besides the technology change, the 390-seater auditorium has undergone a complete refurbishment with a new Flat Aspect Ratio Screen, redesigned interiors, upgraded seating and improved acoustics, creating a premium cinematic environment for audiences.

This PCX HDR by Barco auditorium complements the multiplex’s existing screens along with our flagship premium large format auditorium, PCX, now being rebranded to PCX Infinity, one of the largest cinema screens in India”.
