The unique teaser of Gotya Gangster, the final film directed by the late National Award–winning filmmaker Rajesh Pinjaji, has been released. The teaser, set to the song Gotya Bhai sung by Avadhoot Gupte, is grabbing attention. The film is set to release on December 26 during the Christmas holidays.
Gotya Gangster is produced by Annapurna Productions, with Annapurna Biradar, Rajeshree Biradar, and Sandeep Biradar as producers. The film is presented and co-produced by Rituja Patil and Shiv Lokhande, with Shivakant Tiwari as associate producer. Written and directed by Rajesh Pinjaji, the film features a strong ensemble cast. Pravin Tarde, Prathamesh Parab, Dr Mohan Agashe, Shrikant Yadav, Ashwini Giri, Bhushan Manjule, Vinod Vanave, and Aishwarya Shinde play the lead roles.
The film Gotya Gangster unravels the story of three friends living in a Mumbai chawl. Due to certain events in their lives, the trio ends up in a situation where they must commit a kidnapping. Meanwhile, Don Chimman Bhai—who had fled Mumbai for Dubai years ago—suddenly returns. What follows is a series of comic events, quirky dialogues, and nonstop entertainment. The audience can expect an engaging story, witty writing, powerful direction, and excellent performances.
Rajesh Pinjaji had earlier directed the National Award–winning film Babu Band Baja. After receiving a National Award for his very first film, expectations from him were high. He directed. Gotya Gangster, but sadly passed away unexpectedly.
