The cast - Sukhada Khandkekar, Sayli Salunkhe, and Anushka Merchande commenced this beautiful journey by seeking the blessings of Khatu Shyam Ji in Mumbai.
Sukhada Khandkekar, Sayli Salunkhe, and Anushka Merchande, who will be seen portraying the endearing bond of a mother and her two daughters extended their reverence for Khatu Shyam Ji at the temple, enriching their connection with the divine, and hoping to infuse their performances with heartfelt emotion. This visit holds immense significance as the show is set against the backdrop of the vibrant city of Jaipur, and the characters in the show are devout followers of Khatu Shyam Ji.
Sayli Salunkhe, portraying the character of Vedika, shared: “I always believe that one should make an auspicious start, and what better than seeking the blessings of Khatu Shyam Ji before we embark on this new journey with Pukaar Dil Se Dil Tak. I also consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit the sacred Khatu Shyam Ji mandir in Jaipur whilst we were shooting for the show in the pink city; it was an experience I will never forget.”
Anushka Merchande, who portrays the character of Koel, reflected on her experience: “Seeking the blessings of Khatu Shyam Ji along with Sukhada Tai and Sayli before the launch of our show has been a truly humbling experience. It’s a surreal start to this journey and I am glad to be doing so with a sense of reverence and gratitude.”
Sukhada Khandkekar, portraying the character of Saraswati, expressed: “This visit is profoundly meaningful; the energy and devotion I have experienced after this visit have rejuvenated my passion for my work. After seeking the blessings of all our strengths, I am absolutely sure the viewers shower us with their love and blessings as we launch Pukaar Dil Se Dil Tak.”
Pukaar – Dil Se Dil Tak traces the journey of a desolate mother, Saraswati (Sukhada Khandkekar), and highlights her steadfast hope of reconciling with her lost daughters - Vedika, (Sayli Salunkhe), and Koel (Anushka Merchande). Tragically separated by a wicked scheme, the paths of Saraswati, Vedika, and Koel will unknowingly converge once again, and together, they must confront Rajeshwari Maheshwari (Sumukhi Pendse), the antagonist of the show who tore their family apart. This compelling drama echoes a family’s heartfelt ‘pukaar’ to find each other and reunite despite the circumstances and will premiere on 27th May 2024, airing every Monday to Friday at 8.30pm.
