Be it watching films, other actors perform, or even your own work, an actor is constantly working on himself, says actor Puru Chibber. The actor, who plays the role of Tejas in Rahul Kumar Tewary & Rolling Tales Production’s Udne Ki Aasha, says that he is constantly working on himself.
“I believe that as an actor, you improve by gaining experience, watching movies, and reading. You’re continuously honing your craft because there’s always something new to learn. As long as you’re learning, which is crucial for an actor, you’re improving. Regarding industry trends, I don’t follow them closely, so I’m not sure if I’m fully up-to-date. However, when it comes to opportunities, I’m proactive. I regularly audition for ads, web series, TV shows, and I stay in touch with casting directors to keep up with any new opportunities that arise,” he says.
Talking about exploring other areas of the entertainment industry, such as direction and production, he says, “I aspire to become a producer-actor in the near future. Producing is something I’m eager to explore, and I look forward to taking on that role soon. I aspire to become a producer-actor in the near future. A positive and collaborative work environment on set is a must to perform well, says the actor, adding, “When it comes to contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment, I believe in being punctual, prepared with my lines, and treating everyone on set with kindness. Positivity is key to fostering a good atmosphere on set or anywhere, really.”
He adds, “I don’t usually find myself in high-pressure situations or dealing with tight deadlines because I make sure to complete my work ahead of time. As an actor, my greatest strength is that I’m very instinctive. I rely on my instincts in the moment, which guides my performances.”
