Purva Kaushik: Thanks to Shiva, I go to fight in a sari and heels

The show Shiva has quickly captured the hearts of viewers. It has become highly popular among audiences, with Shiva’s style becoming well-known in households, whether it’s Shiva’s shirt-pant and boycut look or the sari look after marriage. Now, Shiva’s fight scene in a sari is being talked about everywhere.

Purva Kaushik, who plays Shiva, shared her experience of shooting the fight scene in a sari, “The experience of doing a fight scene in a sari was amazing. I never thought I would do this as Purva in my life, but I am really happy that I got to do all this through this show. While I have done small fight scenes in a shirt an pant in the show, when the discussion of doing a fight scene in a sari started, I felt a bit pressured because it had to look impactful and effective on the TV screen. I was worried whether my expressions and body language would suit the outfit. When I finally did the scene, the experience was incredible. Such a moment in an artiste’s life is a milestone in their acting journey, and I got to experience that moment. During the shooting of the fight scene, there was guidance from the fight master, and we took all necessary precautions while shooting. Initially, I wondered if I could manage it in a sari and heeled sandals, but as Shiva tries to stand strong again, it turned out just as I wanted. I found the harness a lot of fun. Honestly, I didn’t have to practice much because the guiding team was excellent.”

Watch Shiva Monday to Friday at 9pm only on Zee Marathi.
