The 13th edition of Rajnigandha presents Jagran Film Festival (JFF) is set to return to Delhi from September 4 to 7, 2025, bringing together a rich showcase of cinema from around the globe. Marking a special milestone, this year’s edition pays homage to legendary filmmaker Guru Dutt on his birth centenary with a series of screenings and conversations dedicated to the legend and his timeless craft
As part of the tribute, celebrated filmmaker R. Balki will host an exclusive session on September 5, 2025, exploring Guru Dutt’s cinematic genius and enduring influence. Known for socially conscious and narrative-driven films like Paa, Padman, and Cheeni Kum, Ki & Ka, Lust Stories 2, Balki will share his perspective on Guru Dutt’s timeless contribution to Indian cinema and why his work continues to inspire generations of filmmakers and audiences alike.
Speaking ahead of the session, R Balki said, “Guru Dutt wasn’t just a filmmaker, he was an emotion. His cinema was way ahead of its time and continues to teach us what passion, poetry and perfection truly mean! For me, he has been a personal inspiration, and I’m truly looking forward to celebrating his centenary at Jagran Film Festival and revisiting the magic he created for the world.”
