Ace Producer Rajan Shahi had a landmark night at the Indian Telly Awards 2025, as his banner Director’s Kut Production dominated the winners list with two of India’s most loved shows — Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Anupamaa. The awards were a celebration of creative excellence, team effort, and the emotional connection these shows have nurtured with audiences over the years.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, which has redefined longevity and storytelling in Indian television, bagged multiple honours including Best Daily Serial and Best Continuing TV Programme. The show also swept the technical categories — winning Best Background Music, Best Costumes, Best Choreographer, Best Editor, and Best Story Writer. The cast was equally celebrated, with Garvita Sadhwani winning both Best Actress in a Negative Role and Fan Favourite – Supporting Actress, and the entire team taking home the Best Ensemble Cast award. Lead pair Rohit Purohit and Samridhii Shukla won Best Onscreen Couple, while Rohit also took home the Fan Favourite – Actor award.
Meanwhile, Anupamaa — India’s top-rated and most-watched show — co-produced by Rajan Shahi and his mother Deepa Shahi, continued its winning streak with awards for Best Drama Series and Best Continuing TV Programme. Lead actress Rupali Ganguly was honoured with Best Television Personality of the Year and Fan Favourite – Actress, highlighting her powerful performance that has resonated with millions. Rajan and Deepa Shahi were jointly awarded Best Producer (Fiction) for the show. Although Deepa Shahi could not attend the event, her contribution was fondly acknowledged.
Rajan Shahi was accompanied by his daughter Ishika Shahi, who joined him on stage during some of the award wins — a proud generational moment for the family. “Winning for both Yeh Rishta and Anupamaa feels incredibly special. I’m grateful to every technician, actor, writer, and the loyal viewers. And having Ishika by my side tonight made it even more memorable,” Rajan shared.
With these wins, Rajan Shahi reaffirms his place as one of Indian television’s most consistent and visionary storytellers — blending emotion, entertainment, and excellence across generations.
