On February 11, amidst much anticipation, Ramsa Farooqui was crowned the winner of the first season of the widely acclaimed show Jau Bai Gaavat. After a rollercoaster ride of entertainment and intense competition spanning three months, Ramsa emerged victorious alongside other top contenders, including Rasika Dhobale, Sanskruti Salunkhe, Ankita Mestri, and Shreya Mhatre.
The competition, which showcased a unique blend of talent, tasks, and village challenges, captivated audiences and contestants alike. The special bond formed between the contestants and the villagers added an extra layer of excitement and emotion to the show. Notable personalities such as Adesh Bandekar, Sonali Kulkarni, and Mahesh Manjrekar graced the programme, adding to its grandeur and appeal.
Expressing her joy, Ramsa shared, “Oh My God! That moment when my name was announced and it was declared that Ramsa, the village girl, is the winner of the first season of ‘Jau Bai Gaavat.’ It felt like I was living a dream. For the past two months, I had been envisioning this moment. But when I saw the enthusiasm of the villagers and the support of all the contestants, I realized that I truly earned this victory. It’s the best moment of my life. I couldn’t help but recall a dialogue, ‘I have tried so hard to win this trophy that every villager has conspired to give it to me.’ It’s truly the best moment. I told myself that this is just the beginning, and Ramsa has a long way to go. Just as ‘Jau Bai Gaavat’ has given me 100%, I owe it back the same, because there are no shortcuts to success. I am immensely grateful to everyone, especially the villagers, for teaching me love, humanity, and how to stay happy. I never imagined that someone could love me so much. Heartfelt gratitude to ‘Jau Bai Gaavat’ and the entire Zee Marathi team. They gave me such a beautiful opportunity, and I learned so much. Thank you to the viewers for accepting me and showing me love. I will miss the village dearly. I have decided to take a home in the village because I have fallen in love with it.”
