Rashmi Gupta: Grooming is crucial because it reflects how we value ourselves

Rashmi Gupta, who is currently seen as Chandra in Sab TV’s Dhruv Tara - Samay Sadi Se Pare, says that grooming is essential for everyone as it talks a lot about how one perceives oneself. She adds that looking good also adds to your personality in a major way.

“Grooming is crucial because it reflects how we value ourselves and how we want to be perceived by others, impacting both personal and professional interactions.  Looking presentable enhances credibility and helps create a positive first impression, which can significantly influence initial interactions and opportunities,” she says.

She says that people are often influenced by how we look. “Initial judgments based on appearance are common, influenced by societal norms and personal biases, though they may not fully reflect a person’s true character or abilities. While inner qualities ultimately define a person’s worth, outer appearance can still influence perceptions and interactions to some degree, even after getting to know someone better,” she says.

However, the actor adds that one needs to blend in as well. “Matching vibes with someone enhance rapport and mutual understanding, fostering more meaningful and effective communication. In India, personalities like Shah Rukh Khan are admired not only for their looks but also for their charm and versatility in entertainment. Globally, figures like Angelina Jolie are recognized for their beauty as well as their humanitarian efforts, adding to their appeal,” she says.
