Ravjeet Singh: Playing Dr Mohit Lets Me Tap Into My Empathetic Side

Actor Ravjeet Singh has joined the cast of Tumm Se Tumm Tak as Dr. Mohit, a character he instantly connected with because of his sincerity and compassion. Produced by Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah under Studio LSD, the show gives Ravjeet an opportunity to portray a doctor driven purely by the desire to help others.

Talking about what drew him to the role, Ravjeet shared that Mohit’s intentions are what make him stand out. “Mohit has a very likeable quality. His primary reason for becoming a doctor is to serve people, and at times, he doesn’t even charge patients for his services. He is deeply passionate about his work. What really attracted me was his earnestness and the calmness he maintains in difficult situations. Through Mohit, I get to explore my own empathetic side,” he said.

Ravjeet also finds similarities between himself and his on-screen character. “Like Mohit, I prefer to assess a situation carefully before jumping to conclusions. His kindness and loving nature resonate with me as well,” he added.

Having previously worked on popular OTT projects such as Sharma Ji Ki Beti, What The Folks, Unbachelored, and High Heels, along with several TV commercials, Ravjeet revealed that Mohit’s emotional journey came as a surprise even to him. “While helping a patient, Mohit never realizes that he would eventually start developing feelings for someone. That twist was unexpected for me too,” he said.

Speaking about his favourite moment in the show, Ravjeet mentioned the scene where Mohit expresses his love for Anu. While he is thoroughly enjoying playing the role, the character did come with its own set of challenges. “I fit in instantly, and the credit goes entirely to the cast and crew for being so warm and welcoming from day one. The challenging part was portraying Mohit’s calm approach—making Gopal ji and his family understand the importance of health, while also maintaining professional boundaries, because at the end of the day, he is a doctor treating a patient.”

Sharing a light-hearted moment from the set, Ravjeet recalled, “The crew played a prank on me on my very first day, and that instantly broke the ice.”

Concluding, Ravjeet believes Tumm Se Tumm Tak stands apart from other shows currently on television. “The show has a remarkable cast and beautifully portrays everyday people and their relationships,” he said.
