Maharashtra’s beloved Ganeshotsav is just around the corner. The well-known Ganpati song Dum Dum Dum Dum Dumru Vaje will be presented in a new style in the movie ‘Navra Maza Navsacha 2,’ with Sachin Pilgaonkar and Adarsh Shinde coming together for the first time to sing this song.
Produced by Sushriya Chitra, ‘Navra Maza Navsacha 2’ is directed by Sachin Pilgaonkar, who also wrote the story and screenplay, with dialogues by Santosh Pawar. The movie features a stellar cast, including Sachin Pilgaonkar, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Maharashtra Bhushan Ashok Saraf, Swapnil Joshi, Hemal Ingle, Nirmitee Sawant, Vaibhav Mangle, and Siddharth Jadhav.
The lyrics for the recreated song Dum Dum Dum Dum Dumru Vaje have been penned by Pravin Davane, with music composed by the emerging music director Raviraj Koltharkar.
Speaking about the song, Sachin Pilgaonkar said, “I became a fan of Adarsh Shinde’s voice from the song ‘Deva Tujhya Gabhrala…’ I never imagined that we would grow so close that I would consider him like my own son. I never thought I would get the chance to sing with him. Adarsh sang this song with me with great affection. He worked hard on this song and gave it his all, and I am confident that the audience will love it. Raviraj Koltharkar, a young and talented music director, is making his debut through ‘Navra Maza Navsacha 2.’ He is a very talented artist.”
Adarsh Shinde expressed his excitement about the song, saying, “I have been listening to and singing Dum Dum Dum Dum Dumru Vaje since childhood. It was a great joy to sing it with Sachin Pilgaonkar in ‘Navra Maza Navsacha 2.’ We both stood together and sang the song, which was a different experience. We recorded it just like songs were recorded in the past, and that experience was amazing. I believe this song will definitely be a hit during this year’s Ganeshotsav.”
Every year, many songs dedicated to Lord Ganpati are released for Ganeshotsav, but this year’s festival will be even more special because of Dum Dum Dum Dum Dumru Vaje. There is no doubt that this song will be played in every household and at every mandal. ‘Navra Maza Navsacha 2’ is set to release on September 20.
