The Nutan Gulgule Foundation, which undertakes various social and developmental activities for differently-abled children, has established the ‘Swanand Seva Sadan’ project in Arnala. On the ground floor of this project, the ‘Shri Swami Samarth Shaktisthan and Meditation Center’ has been set up, the installation of the idol and sandals of Shri Swami Samarth, seated in a lotus position, was carried out by Revered Balayogi Shri Sadanand Maharaj from Tungarashwar Mountain. The sandals placed in this center have been brought after touching the holy places of Shri Datt Digambar: Gangapur, Narsobawadi, and Akkalkot.
Nutan Gulgule, the chairperson of the Nutan Gulgule Foundation, expressed, “The profound meaning of the hymn ‘Aaji Soniyacha Dinu Varshe Amritacha Ghanu - Hari Pahilaare Hari Pahilaare’ has come true for us at the Nutan Gulgule Foundation and the Tendulkar family by the grace of Swami Samarth, making today truly golden. With the installation of the idol and sandals by Revered Balayogi Sadanand Maharaj, who graced the land of Arnala with his presence, I feel this land has indeed been blessed. The modern, well-equipped hostel for differently-abled children, ‘Swanand Seva Sadan,’ which the Nutan Gulgule Foundation is respectfully establishing, has received his auspicious blessings. Additionally, the creation of this facility has been significantly contributed to by Amarnath Tendulkar (Kaka) from Arnala and Ashwinkumar Tendulkar and Balram Vasan (Bunty Bhau) for its development and beautification.”
Reacting to the event, the foundation’s financial advisor, Amarnath Tendulkar, said, “I have been associated with this project from the beginning. Despite numerous challenges, the Gulgule couple strived tirelessly to complete this project. Establishing such a ’non-commercial’ project in a place like Arnala is a source of pride for us. Witnessing their noble intent, the Tendulkar family has joined the Gulgule family, adding to our joy. Former Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari once said, ‘Serving the differently-abled is serving God,’ and we are fortunate to have this opportunity with the Gulgule family.”
On Sunday, May 26, the inauguration of the first floor of the ‘Swanand Seva Sadan’ building and the roof worship will be conducted by Shri Shri Shri Shivanand Saraswati Maharaj (Kavale Math, Goa). On Friday night, a grand procession of Shri Swami Samarth’s idol and sandals was taken out from Tendulkar Wada to Prabhat Colony. The entire Arnala welcomed the procession with rangoli, akin to the celebrations of Dussehra and Diwali.
