This revelation came to light when Diljit Dosanjh shared his experience working on the film. Since its release, Crew, produced by Anil Kapoor, has been a topic of discussion, especially for its musical score.
The movie not only performed well at the box office but also dominated the OTT space. The songs, particularly Naina sung by Diljit Dosanjh, became immensely popular and trended on social media. In a recent interview, Diljit revealed that Rhea Kapoor, Anil Kapoor’s daughter and the producer of Crew, was determined to have him create Naina for the film.
“I told her I don’t know how to make songs for Bollywood, but she pursued me for a year. At that time, I was working on an album, and she would ask me every 10 days about the song’s progress,” Diljit shared.
The song, featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Tabu, remains a top favorite and continues to dominate with over 91 million views on YouTube, making it one of the most-watched tracks.
As Rhea Kapoor gears up for her next project, Anil Kapoor is set to host Bigg Boss OTT 3, which will begin streaming on Jio Cinema from June 21. Anil Kapoor is also preparing for his upcoming film titled Subhedar and is rumored to be a part of YRF’s spy universe.
