Ridhima Rampal, currently seen as Preeti in Sargun Mehta and Ravie Dubey’s Tu Juliet Jatt Di, produced under their banner Dreamiyata Entertainment, opens up about navigating fame, handling self-doubt, and staying true to herself in a competitive industry.
Speaking about the pressures of fame and public attention, Ridhima says, “Fame definitely comes with its own pressures, but I try to stay grounded by reminding myself why I started. I focus on my craft rather than the noise around me, and I make sure to take breaks from social media when needed to protect my peace.”
Her passion continues to drive her through challenging times. “My love for acting keeps me going. I also remind myself that every phase, whether good or bad, is temporary. My goals and the love I have for storytelling push me to keep moving forward,” she shares.
Ridhima admits that self-doubt is a natural part of the journey. “Yes, absolutely. Self-doubt is natural. I handle it by focusing on my strengths and past achievements. I also talk to people I trust, who remind me of my potential and help me regain confidence.”
Maintaining a balance between work and personal life is something she consciously works on. “I make it a point to set boundaries. Spending time with family, listening to music, or just relaxing helps me disconnect. Even small breaks help me recharge.”
She credits her close circle for keeping her grounded. “They play a huge role. They keep me real and remind me of who I am beyond my profession. Their support and honest feedback are very important to me.”
On dealing with criticism, she adds, “I try to take constructive criticism positively because it helps me improve. As for negativity, I have learned not to take everything personally. Not every opinion defines me.”
Her self-care routine is rooted in simplicity. “I focus on proper rest, healthy eating, and sometimes meditation. Doing things I enjoy, like dancing or reading, also helps me stay balanced.”
She also believes in the power of positive thinking. “I start my day with positive thoughts and remind myself that I am capable and growing every day. Even a few minutes of gratitude makes a big difference.”
Talking about maintaining her identity, Ridhima explains, “I remind myself that acting is a part of my life, not my entire identity. I nurture my hobbies, relationships, and personal interests to maintain that balance.”
Summing up the biggest lesson fame has taught her, she says, “The biggest lesson is to stay humble and authentic. Fame is temporary, but who you are as a person is what truly matters in the long run.”
