Actor Rishabh Jaiswal, who plays the role of Krish Bansal in Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, says that his character of Krish has a great graph. He adds that he feels he can relate well to his character.
“As far as my character graph is concerned, which is Krish Bansal, he is in himself a very diverse character because he is a person who lives in a very loving environment. He loves his mother, his sister-in-law, his brother and respects his parents a lot, but now there is so much pressure on him to follow his career and follow his dreams. His father is not allowing him to follow his dreams, so now Krish is actually becoming a rebel and going against his father to pursue his dream. I feel I am contributing to the overall atmosphere of the show, through my role,” he says.
He adds, “The overall tonality of my character is very lovely, and further the audience will also get to see so much more. I feel this is the best character that I can play because I also went through a similar confusion when I was in my college. I was very confused about what exactly I wanted to do in life. I also had the option to manage my family business or take up a job, but I decided to follow my passion, and here I am, an actor. I think Krish Bansal is one of my closest characters that I can portray on TV.”
The show has been quite the game changer, he says, “Personally, I feel that this character will resonate a lot with today’s youth, whether they are in school or college. They will relate significantly to this character because there comes a moment in life where they are confused about which career path to choose, and there is obviously pressure from parents too. But parents also have a big hand in events and reasons. I think that is the reason people are showing a lot of love to me on social media, and my character is getting really popular, is because the youth are really getting connected and attached to my character. And at the same time, my journey also started as a social media influencer, so now when I post something about my character, I get a great response.”
