At just 17, Saanvi Srivastava is already balancing academics, personal ambitions and a growing interest in the world of pageants. Having grown up in Varanasi before moving to Mumbai, she credits her family for giving her the confidence to pursue her dreams.
“I come from a very respected and loving family in Varanasi. My parents have always supported and encouraged me to pursue my dreams and believe in myself,” she said.
Alongside her ambitions, she is also focused on her education. “I am currently studying at Mithibai College in Mumbai and preparing for the JEE. Alongside academics, I have always been passionate about exploring my potential and creating a meaningful journey for myself,” she said. Her recent title has added another significant milestone to that journey. “Honestly, the moment was completely overwhelming and incredibly special for me. I felt extremely grateful to be a part of such an amazing event, and to receive the crown from Devanshi Sharma made it even more memorable. It truly felt like a dream come true,” she said.
“For me, this is not just a title, it feels like the first step towards achieving my dreams, making my country and, most importantly, my parents proud. I was genuinely happy, emotional and grateful for the entire experience,” she added. At the same time, she does not see the title as the final destination. “My biggest goal is to enter Femina Miss India and eventually have the opportunity to represent my state and my country on a larger platform,” she added.
But beyond pageant titles, she wants her journey to have a larger purpose. “I want to achieve a lot throughout my journey, but more importantly, I want my journey to have a purpose. I want to be heard, seen and remembered, not just for the titles I win, but for the person I become and the impact I create,” she said. Reflecting on her journey so far, she also speaks about the contrast between her roots in Varanasi and her life in Mumbai. “I would simply like to say that my journey so far has taken me from the spiritual ghats of Varanasi to the City of Dreams, Mumbai. Living in these two very different cities has taught me that every place and every experience has something valuable to offer,” she said.
That perspective has also shaped her views on women and their role in society. “One thing I strongly believe in is that whenever women are given greater opportunities and a stronger role in society, the entire community grows and thrives. I am a true believer and supporter of women empowerment, and I want to continue growing, learning and becoming a better version of myself,” she said. “I believe this is just the beginning of my journey."
