Actor Sagar Rambhia, who plays the role of Jaanrao in Invictus T Mediaworks’ Nilanjana Purkayasstha and Herumb Khot’s show Dabangii: Mulgi Aayi Re Aayi, says that he loves the fearless storyline of the show. He says that while he is able to relate to his character at some place, other places Jaanrao is absolutely different from how he is.
“The name of the show is fantastic, as the name goes the female lead in the girl in show is the same way fearless, and fantastic. The character I play, Jaanrao is a sycophant (chaplus) to Bhau, and fears Bhau in real life. I am not like this in real life, but the ongoing track where I will be saving Arya from Bhau and fighting with him is similar to me in real life,” he says.
Talking about playing the role on screen, he says, “It wasn’t hard at all. In fact, it was easy for me because of my director Rohit Sir, who guided us well. Director Aarif Sir was guiding us and his guidance made me very comfortable in the role. But, I, as an audience, would like to see the comic side of my character as well.
Meanwhile, he says that he loves the team of the show. “Every person working on the show, be it the actors, crew, producers, directors, and even our child actor Maahi Bhadra, who plays Arya; are the strength of the show. I try to keep a fun mood on the set. I am happy all the time. I also have lunch with everyone on the set. I get them chocolates, chikkis and we eat together. It feels like one big family,” he says.
He adds, “Aamir Dalvi, who plays Satya in the show, is a fantastic person. He supports me and guides me where I make mistakes. I love sharing the screen with him.”
Meanwhile, he says that it’s a treat to work with producers Nilanjana Purkayasstha and Herumb Khot. “They are such loving people, Herumb sir visits us often and he is such kind-hearted person. I’d love to work with him.”
