Sai Tamhankar has shared her experience of working with new directors, saying that it provides a rich and rewarding opportunity to learn different working styles and adapt to new environments.
Known as the Crossover Queen, Sai Tamhankar has consistently taken on innovative and diverse roles throughout her career. By maintaining a steady stream of quality work, she has portrayed several powerful and memorable characters. Soon, she will be seen in a new avatar in the film Tumbadchi Manjula, directed by debut filmmaker Vividh Koragaonkar.
Over the years, Sai has worked with several emerging directors and artists in both Bollywood and Marathi cinema. Her notable projects include Matka King with director Nagraj Manjule, Dabba Cartel with Hitesh Bhatia, Agni with Rahul Dholakia, Ground Zero with Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, and Mimi with Laxman Utekar.
Having collaborated with many renowned Bollywood and Marathi filmmakers, Sai is now set to be a part of Tumbadchi Manjula. Speaking about working with new directors and fresh talent, she says, “Working with someone new and being a part of their first project is always special. It constantly reminds me that when I was new to this industry, many people and directors placed their trust in me. That feeling is incredibly inspiring and empowering. If I can pass on that same feeling to someone working on their first film, it becomes truly meaningful and impactful. I also enjoy working with directors who have different approaches and in varied creative environments. Being part of someone’s first and most important project is always special, and I genuinely cherish that experience because it is enriching. There is a unique sense of satisfaction in supporting new voices and fresh talent in any form.”
