Sai began the new year with an adventurous endeavor, and the reason behind it is equally special. Sai is currently undergoing paragliding training, not just as a hobby but with the aim of becoming a certified pilot.
While Sai is making waves in the Hindi film industry, she’s also taking on her new career path with equal determination. Talking about her journey beyond acting and why she chose to become a pilot, Sai shares, “I underwent my pilot training at Kamshet Temple Pilot School, one of the best schools in India. Here, they teach you everything with a focus on safety and your passion for learning. For many years, I felt I hadn’t learned anything new. Life becomes so busy with the daily grind that we forget to explore and learn. I wondered if I could try something new and take on a challenge. That’s when the idea of adventure sports and becoming a pilot struck me. I had tried skydiving before, so I thought, why not learn paragliding? With this in mind, I decided to take up the course, and it made me feel alive as a person once again. It’s often said that every sport offers unique experiences, and for me, this one not only allowed me to witness incredible things but also helped me discover so much about myself.
“Paragliding taught me about my capabilities and mental state. When you learn a new sport, you naturally pick up life skills along the way. Paragliding, in particular, teaches you to work on your shortcomings without you even realizing it. And what’s better than improving through play? Becoming a certified paragliding pilot wasn’t originally on my mind, but I found the sport fascinating. When I take up something, I love immersing myself in it completely, learning every detail, and pursuing it with seriousness. Many people think paragliding is just about going to places like Matheran or Mahabaleshwar and flying with someone. But let me tell you, this is not the same. I’m undergoing proper pilot training, and this is just the beginning for me.”
