Television actor Samikssha Bhatnagar is soaking in the love coming her way for her portrayal of Shruti Ahuja in Anupamaa, produced by Deepa Shahi and Rajan Shahi. The actress says the show has become a deeply meaningful part of her journey, both professionally and personally.
Speaking about her dedication towards work, Samikssha shared that acting is something she approaches with immense faith and sincerity. “I treat my shooting set like a temple. For me, the camera is God, and every single day I look forward to giving better performances, performing better scenes, and spreading love and positivity,” she said.
She revealed that fitness continues to be an important part of her everyday routine, even during hectic shoot schedules. “I am a fitness freak. Even though I usually hit the gym before going on set in the morning, whenever I get a chance during breaks, I do bodyweight workouts in my room, listen to good music, and focus on my scenes,” she shared.
Talking about playing Shruti Ahuja, Samikssha admitted that the role comes with emotional complexity and demands a lot from her as a performer. According to her, every role adds to her growth as an actor and as a person. “I always believe in becoming a better person and improving every single day. Playing Shruti Ahuja in Anupamaa is a challenging role, and I am constantly trying to improve myself and do complete justice to the character,” she said.
She further explained that Shruti’s emotions are layered and need to be portrayed with balance. “Shruti Ahuja truly loves her daughter and can go to any extent for her. There’s a very thin line in the character where she might appear negative, so as a performer, I make sure she comes across as a caring and loving mother. All my scenes are emotionally intense and quite challenging,” Samikssha added.
She also expressed gratitude for the unwavering support she receives from her family. She shared that her loved ones were thrilled when she joined the popular show and continue to cheer for her performances.
Speaking about success and recognition, Samikssha believes audience appreciation holds the highest value for any actor. “Without a second thought, it is the audience’s love that matters the most because they are the ones who make an actor truly loved and successful. At the same time, awards also give you motivation and boost your morale,” she said.
Calling herself fortunate to be a part of Anupamaa, Samikssha concluded by thanking producer Rajan Shahi for trusting her with the role. “The kind of response and love I am receiving from the audience is overwhelming, and I’m so happy that people are loving me in the show. Thank you everyone for all the love, support, and prayers. It truly means a lot to me,” she said.
