Sandeep Sachdev, who is currently seen as Kamalnath Kashyap in Prateek Sharma’s Studio LSD’s Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya: Shiv Shakti, says his family is an ardent follower of the show, and they never miss an episode.
“My family watches the show, and how. If, by mistake, I call them at 7:30 p.m. because sometimes you feel like catching up with your mom, so once or twice it has happened, she is like, ‘Listen, I’m watching your show.’ They watch the show diligently, and they are also fascinated by the fact that Mandira (played by Parineeta Borthakur) never gets caught, and they are waiting for Kamalnath to get to know that Mandira is behind everything, that she is the mastermind, who is creating all the havoc in everyone’s life, and that it is possible that the husband really doesn’t know. So yes, my family really loves to watch the show, and I keep on taking feedback from them.”
Sandeep further said that the audience is really loving the drama that is unfolding. He elaborated that Mandira is trying to get Shiv out of her life, but Shakti is not going to let that happen. He said, “So I just feel that the entire scenario is created where Shakti is saving Shiv and Mandira always wants him out. I think from the audience’s perspective, they are always going to see who is going to be in team Shakti and who is going to be in team Mandira. They are also loving the great chemistry and the romantic scenes between Shiv and Shakti. And Arjun Bijlani and Nikki Sharma are really doing a fab job.”
He also mentioned that now his character is getting more involved in the drama and thanked the producers for having him on-board such a great show. “Firstly, I’m very thankful to the producers for giving me this chance to perform in front of great actors like Sanjay ji, Parineeta, Meenakshi ji, Nimisha Ji, and Jhuma. It’s been quite a privilege, and getting input from everybody once the scene is over is amazing,” he said.
Sandeep also spoke about the bonding that the actors have on the set and said, “We have been shooting together closely for 10 months now, and we really look forward to having lunch together, especially me and Keertan, who is playing my son. We actually call our room Room 10 because it’s a party room. Everybody like Meenakshi ji, Sanjay ji, Jhuma, Vrushabh, Aditi, and Reva, we all have our lunches together.”
He also recalled a funny incident from the show and said, “There was this scene where Shiv and Shakti were continuously slapping Keertan, and he was going like a ping pong ball. And in one of the shots from that scene, Manorama Ji had to cross, so while everybody was in that element, just when Manorama Ji was crossing, Shiv, while he was hitting Keertan, hit her by mistake. This was a funny incident, but luckily no one got hurt.”
