‘Mrs’ is a remake of a Malayalam film ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’, which received immense critical acclaim post its release. Earlier this year, Sanya Malhotra received the ‘Best Actress’ award at the New York Indian Film Festival for her performance in the Arati Kadav directorial, which sees the actress portray the life of a married woman and how she discovers herself against the expectations that are imposed by the society.
Beyond ‘Mrs’, Sanya Malhotra is gearing up for an interesting line-up of upcoming releases. The actress will be seen in ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ and ‘Thug Life’. She also has an untitled film with Anurag Kashyap in the pipeline, which will see her sharing the screen space with Bobby Deol.
