The power couple of the industry—Sargun Mehta and Ravie Dubey, who have redefined content for the Indian audience with their innovative storytelling—are all set to launch their new show, Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan, under their banner Dreamiyata Dramaa. The new show will air on Zee TV and features Shubhangi Latkar in the lead role.
The channel shared a clip from the show giving a glimpse of the storyline, which revolves around a single mother, Ganga, who, from the video, seems to have started her own small eatery to support her three daughters.
The video starts with Ganga sharing her ordeal that a woman is traditionally expected to look after the household while the husband earns, but she had to look after both as her husband left her because she couldn’t give him a son. Even with all these difficulties, she did not give up and raised her daughters with love and respect. While she is narrating all this, she is cooking different delicacies. The teaser itself will leave you thinking about the hardships she must have gone through to raise her daughters while always smiling so that her daughters don’t feel discouraged and disappointed.
Needless to say, Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan is another family drama, but with Sargun and Ravie’s magical touch, the show will definitely become a hit in no time. The couple had earlier produced TV shows like Udaariyaan and Swarn Ghar; each show had a unique storyline and struck a chord with the audience.
