It all began with the encouragement of my husband, who saw my knack for sharing news, events, and food. The opportunity to create meaningful connections with my audience and be a part of a larger community of food, lifestyle and travel enthusiasts also played a significant role in my decision to pursue blogging. Through my platform, I aimed to inspire others to explore the world around them and embrace the joy of wandering.

How do you stay current with food trends and incorporate them into your content?
My secret lies in being constantly plugged in and actively seeking inspiration. Whenever something resonates with me, I try to incorporate it into my content. By following industry-related sources, engaging with my audience, and staying updated on social media platforms, I ensure that my content reflects the latest food trends and caters to the interests of my followers. I encourage them to share their interests, feedback, and suggestions through comments, direct messages, or polls. 

What challenges have you faced as a blogger, and how have you overcome them?
Breaking into the influencer scene in a relatively small city like Calgary has its challenges. Balancing content creation, personal commitments, and self-doubt can be overwhelming. While I can’t claim to have completely conquered these challenges, I motivate myself to keep going. The unwavering support of my loved ones and my determination to provide valuable content help me navigate the ups and downs of the blogging world.

Please share a memorable experience from your  blogging journey?
One of the most memorable moments was when I had the opportunity to collaborate with a local restaurant. It was a surreal experience to be recognized for my content and engage with their team. This collaboration not only expanded my culinary horizons but also boosted my blog’s visibility and credibility. It opened doors to future partnerships and established me as an influencer in my niche.

What advice would you give to someone looking to start a blog of their own?
Don’t let self-doubt hold you back. Be authentic and true to yourself and your audience. Passion is key—share what you truly love, and others will love it too. Remember that blogging is an exciting journey that requires dedication, hard work, and a genuine passion for your chosen topic. Stay true to yourself, stay consistent, and enjoy the process of creating and sharing valuable content with the world.

What do you see as the future of blogging and for your blog in the nest few years?
The future of blogging is ever-evolving, adapting to the dynamic digital landscape. Video content, live streaming, and interactive formats will likely take center stage, allowing bloggers to engage with their audience in more captivating ways. Personalized and niche-focused content will continue to gain significance as readers seek tailored and authentic experiences. As for my blog, I envision expanding its reach within the travel and exploration niche. Collaborating with travel brands, tourism boards, and fellow influencers, I aim to create impactful campaigns and experiences. Diversifying content across platforms like podcasts and virtual reality will provide immersive storytelling opportunities. 

How has your cultural background influenced your cooking and food choices?
Growing up in a multicultural environment, I’ve been fortunate to experience a wide range of cuisines and culinary traditions. These diverse influences have shaped my palate and deepened my appreciation for different flavors, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
