Sharvari has often captivated audiences with her dance performances. Her latest song, ‘Jhumka Patola’, offers audiences another glimpse of her dancing skills. Featured in Sooraj R. Barjatya’s upcoming film ‘Yeh Prem Mol Liya’, the song has given Sharvari the opportunity to work with a director whose songs have been an integral part of Hindi cinema and many unforgettable on-screen moments.
According to Sharvari, Sooraj Barjatya’s approach goes beyond choreography. Every movement and expression in a song is closely connected to the story.
She says, “I have always loved dancing, but working with Sooraj Sir is different because the song is so deeply woven into the narrative that it cannot be viewed merely as a dance performance. During the shoot of ‘Jhumka Patola’, he would explain to me exactly what a particular moment meant for my character. He would also share anecdotes about the songs he had worked on in the past. I tried to convey those emotions through every step and expression."
She adds, “Dance has a language of its own, and sometimes a song can express something that cannot be conveyed through a scene. There is a reason why certain songs stay with us for years. They become so closely associated with the characters and moments we remember that they cannot be separated from one another.‘Jhumka Patola’ gave me an opportunity to experience my love for dance in a way I never had before. Following the warm response to the title track of ‘Yeh Prem Mol Liya’, I am now looking forward to seeing audiences experience this song.”
Featuring music by Himesh Reshammiya, ‘Yeh Prem Mol Liya’ stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari in the lead roles. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on 27 November 2026.
