Koi Jaye Toh Le Aaye actor Sherleen Dutt feels that as an artist, she can always work on her craft and improve it. She said, “I believe there’s always room for improvement, especially in exploring the subtleties of different emotions and perfecting my timing.”
“I want to continue working on my versatility and the ability to transform into a wide range of characters. As for areas where I’ve excelled, I feel confident in my ability to bring authenticity and depth to my roles, which allows audiences to connect with my characters on a personal level,” she said. She asserted that in today’s digital age, feedback is more immediate and accessible than ever, and artists should be open to this feedback, as it’s a valuable tool for growth. She added, “However, it’s also important to filter out the noise and focus on constructive criticism. Engaging with feedback in a balanced way can help us evolve, but we shouldn’t let it overwhelm or define us.”
What about trolling and negative criticism about your work? “Trolling and negative criticism can be tough, but I try not to let them get to me. It’s important to separate constructive feedback from baseless negativity,” she said.
“I remind myself that everyone has an opinion, and not all of them are rooted in understanding or fairness. Instead of fear, I focus on staying true to my craft and continuing to grow as an artist. I believe that with time, hard work, and consistency, genuine talent will always be recognized,” Sherleen shared.
