Inspired by a true story, director Sachin Wagh brings forth the compelling and sensitive narrative of Bhagirathi Missing, set to premiere on the upcoming International Women’s Day, March 8. Presented by Sahyadri Motion Pictures and produced by Pramod Kulkarni, Bhagirathi Missing, with Sachin Wagh at the helm, has already garnered significant attention with its trailer.
Speaking about Bhagirathi Missing, producer-director Sachin Wagh stated, “Audiences will witness the journey of a woman who embarks on a quest to find her lost identity. This film aims to shed light on the prevalent issues of violence against women and girls. Therefore, we have made efforts to handle this subject matter with sensitivity.”
Actor Shilpa Thakre shared her excitement about the film, stating, “Being part of Bhagirathi Missing has been an incredibly fulfilling experience for me. Bringing Bhagirathi’s character to life posed significant challenges. Her life events are surprising and impactful. Moreover, reconnecting with my rural roots for this character was a memorable journey.”
Bhagirathi Missing features a talented ensemble cast including Shilpa Thakre, Suresh Vishwakarma, Abhishek Avchat, Chandrakant Mulgundkar, Sandeep Kulkarni, and Puja Pawar in prominent roles. The screenplay and dialogues are penned by Sanjay Ingulkar.
The film is accompanied by a soul-stirring soundtrack composed by Ashutosh Kulkarni, with lyrics by Dr Sangeeta Godbole. Renowned vocalist Pt. Shaunak Abhisheki has lent his voice for this Marathi film, adding a special touch to the musical score. Other singers include Suvarna Rathod, Sharayu Date, and Jaydeep Vaidya.
