Comedy queen Shreya Bugde is set to delight audiences once again on Zee Marathi with Drama Juniors. Expressing her excitement about this new journey, she stated, “I am returning to meet the audience, but in a new role as the host of Drama Juniors. It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to collaborate with young children. Working with new talents and their enthusiasm is going to be a lot of fun. This presents a fresh challenge and experience for me. I hope that, just as the audience has shown me love so far, they will continue to support me in this new role. Starting as a child artist myself, working with children brings a different energy and challenge. Managing their daily routines and setting the right atmosphere is a unique challenge. I truly enjoy working with children and forming bonds with them. I’m aiming to bring something unique to Drama Juniors. As a host, my role is to represent the voice of both the audience and the contestants, presenting the best performances of these young talents. The auditions I witnessed were filled with unique sparkle and energy from the contestants. Today’s talented children are influenced by social media. Our youngest contestant is around 3-4 years old. I began my career at 8 years old, so I feel a strong connection with them. Back then, we didn’t have the facilities available today; it was a different struggle for our parents. Times have changed, and it’s crucial to create opportunities like this competition. I’ve worked across many languages, learning new things with each job. From my experiences, I’ve learned the importance of staying alert and continuously evolving, not just as an artist but as a person. Always striving with great effort and motivation.”
The judges this season are Sankharshan Kharade and Amruta Khanvilkar, both close friends of Shreya. “Our friendship is very special. I’ve partnered with Sankharshan on ‘Fu Bai Fu’; he’s a writer and a highly talented artist in this industry. Amruta is a complete artist. Their expertise will be invaluable for the children.”
