Simran Khanna, who was last seen in the TV show Ajooni, has now joined the cast of Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta production’s Udaariyaan. The show has taken a 15 year leap and Simran is part of the new cast. Simran who believes in destiny says,”Jiska naam likha hua hota hai usko hi milta hai’. I don’t think much and I have been in this industry since such a long time and wanted to do a good role and this show gave me that role. I am currently shooting in Chandigarh. I feel every city has it’s unique importance. But with Chandigarh I feel extra connected soon because I belong from the same belt of Punjab. But I never got a chance to live there and explore locally. So this time I will be a local in Chandigarh during shooting and will try to explore the city whenever I get time.”
On being asked about the dynamic duo Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta, Simran says,”It feels very nice when an actor turns into a producer. So there is a little comfort zone where the actor doesn’t need to explain his/her point of view. And I hope that I also have a good experience with both of them.”
Every actor has their own set of rituals and superstitions when they come to the sets for the first time. And Simran is no exception. She says,”On my first day of shooting, I always give time to myself to understand the set and the team. I don’t want to work in pressure because I love my work. I can’t work well with pressure. The vibes matter a lot to me. So I create my vibe. And I look forward to it going well till I work and I make people around me happy.” She also adds,” I have rituals to meet and greet people and follow up with my religious routine.” We have all seen after a while the daily shows have a monotony. Will this show break that! On this Simran says,”I believe it all depends on person to person. What you think it happens. I engage myself in skincare routines, household activities following up with my religious routines. I don’t want it to be a regular normal day. I add my twists and turns to have a fun time in between my shots.” Simran who has also been part of popular shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has no particular idol when it comes to her work. She says,”There is no prominent idol. I portray the craft according to what I feel. I try to do justice to what a particular role demands from the actor within me.”
