Subodh Bhave is once again returning to Zee Marathi in his signature style to entertain viewers. In the new serial Veen Doghatli Hi Tute Na, he plays the character of Samar Rajwade. Subodh Bhave and Zee Marathi share a long and deep association. Previously, he has left a strong impression on audiences through serials like Peshwai, Vadalvaat, Kulvadhu, Avantika, Tula Pahate Re, Bus Bai Bus, and many more. His comeback has sparked excitement and happiness among fans. Known for portraying silent love, powerful performances, and strong characters, Subodh is once again ready to weave his magic—no doubt about that.
While speaking about his new role and the serial, he also reflected on some fond memories. “My bond with Zee Marathi is truly special. I’ve done nearly 18–20 serials on Zee Marathi so far, and every show has given me immense love, amazing characters, talented co-actors, writers, directors, the entire team, and, of course, the audience’s overwhelming affection. After Tula Pahate Re, I’m returning to Zee Marathi after almost 6 years, so there’s definitely excitement.”
“The character of Samar is completely different from any role I’ve played before. He’s in his mid-forties, and he isn’t married. It’s not like he never wanted to get married, but now he just doesn’t feel the desire anymore. He’s a cheerful and refreshing character, and while portraying him, I feel like the audience will get to see a different side of me compared to my past roles.”
“When I got a call from Chandrakant Gaikwad, Kalyani Pathare, and Hemant, I was intrigued. I knew it was a good serial, a role that fits my age, but I didn’t know exactly what the promo would be like. Tejashree and I had worked together in a film before, and the audience really loved our pairing. Now, we’re teaming up again for this serial, and I’m excited about that too. The promo has received an overwhelming response, and now I’m curious to see whether the audience accepts this pairing and the show.”
“I always enjoy when things are shown in detail and when I get a chance to work on them deeply. For a show and its characters to be successful, writing is extremely important, and both of our writers are incredibly talented.”
“I’d like to share a small incident from the wedding promo shoot. There was a scene where we had to eat gulab jamun, and when Tejashree showed me the gulab jamun and then ate it herself, I got really angry—not Samar, but Subodh was more upset—because gulab jamun is my weakness. It’s my favorite sweet! But overall, shooting the wedding promo was a lot of fun.”
“Samar Rajwade has some very unique habits—one could say he has OCD. I also like cleanliness, but Samar notices even the smallest of details. I’ve started to really enjoy this character.”
